Impact of titanium concentration in structural and optical behaviour of nano Bi2Ce2−x TixO7 (x = 0–1) high NIR reflective and UV shielding yellow and orange pigments

•The synthesized Bi2Ce2O7 displays an intense yellow colour with high NIR reflectance and good UV shielding characteristics.•The Bi2Ce1.50Ti0.50O7 (R% = 65.47) pigment showed coolant impact on the polymeric films.•The synthesized pigments can find application in thermosetting acrylic formulation for good colouring.
