摘要
The graphic illustrates the application of a single crystal of porous metal-organic framework (MOF) (cube in centre) to sense and discriminate vapours of polar and non-polar molecules. Uniquely, this is accomplished by tracking the transient dielectric response of the single crystal upon guest sorption and desorption cycles, which are represented by the alternating current signals (AC waves in yellow) and the color-coded cyclic loop, respectively. Because the dielectric properties are omnipresent in MOFs, this strategy is potentially advantageous against resistive and luminescent sensing methods in the field. More details can be found in article number 2000408 by Jin-Chong Tan and co-workers.
