Abstract
In article number 2000017, Martin Winter, Marian Cristian Stan and co-workers demonstrate that Cu|Li interfaces create favorable pre-conditions for galvanic corrosion. In the case of interaction with an aggressive environment, represented by the electrolyte, lithium undergoes accelerated corrosion. This concept is demonstrated for lithium-powder-based electrodes.
