In article number 1903173, Jin-Kyu Kang, Dae-Hwan Kim and co-workers report a liquid-assisted grain growth mechanism for a vacuum processed Cu2ZnSn(S1−xSex)4 (CZTSSe) absorber. The liquid phase is mainly composed of Cu, Sn, and Se. Through this liquid assisted grain growth, it is possible to form CZTSSe thin films with large-sized grains at low temperatures.
