The usefulness of ruthenium nanocatalysis in the context of deuterium and tritium labelling of pharmaceuticals using hydrogen isotope exchange is illustrated in the cover artwork. This work includes a detailed DFT-based mechanistic study identifying undisclosed key intermediates and allowed a deeper understanding of C−H (and N−H) activation processes occurring at the surface of metallic nanoclusters.
