A case report of reconstruction of ocular and complete upper eyelid avulsion with severe facial soft tissue injuries using anterolateral thigh free flap

•Ocular injury due to MVA (motor vehicle accident) is found to be the second most common cause of ocular injuries.•Extensive ocular and facial damage restored with anterolateral thigh free flap method to reconstruct large defects.•Improving cosmetic function is as important as saving visual function in increasing patient’s quality of life.
