Exploiting a Rose Bengal-bearing, oxygen-producing nanoparticle for SDT and associated immune-mediated therapeutic effects in the treatment of pancreatic cancer

Rose Bengal-bearing nanoparticles are capable of in situ generation of oxygen in response to the low pH in hypoxic tumours and may be used to elicit a site specific cytotoxic sonodynamic effect that can, in turn, elicit an immunologically mediated therapeutic abscopal effect.
