A Multi-path Routing Algorithm based on Ant Colony Optimization in Satellite Network

With the rapid development of software-defined technologies and satellite networks, the next generation of cyberspace will cover the world with strong invulnerability and stability. The dynamic topologies of satellite networks make it more difficult to route for satellite networks. In this paper, the double-layer satellite network topology is analyzed. We optimize the inter-layer link handoff algorithm to reduce the number of inter-layer link handoffs. Taking full advantage of the global topology information of SDN, this paper designs a multi-path routing algorithm based on ant colony optimization for software-defined satellite network, which can meet the requirements of QoS. Introducing different ant colonies to ant colony optimization, we can calculate multiple paths and reduce the coincidence rate between these paths. Multi-path provides more choices for satellite network data transmission and improves the security of satellite networks. Simulation experiments verify the efficiency of the multi-path routing algorithm proposed in this paper and explore the appropriate values of the parameters. The results show that the ant colony algorithm reduces the repetition rate of different paths and selects high-quality paths.
