•Our research focuses on women with Yin deficiency and Balanced constitution.•The expression of NFKBIA and CCL4 mRNA was up-regulated in Yin deficiency group.•The expression of BCL2A1 mRNA was down-regulated in Yin deficiency group.•The imbalanced expression of CCL4 and BCL2A1 may be leading to inflammatory aging.
