Physical properties, biochemical and antioxidant contents of new promising Tunisian almond genotypes: Traits stability, quality aspects and post-harvest attributes

•Both genotype and year effects on phenotypic and biochemical features were discussed.•Autochthonous almond cultivars are rich sources of tocopherols.•A clear year effect on the amount of tocopherol in almond oil was proven.•Novel accessions with high values in terms of fruit quality were spotted.•A potential industrial valorization of superior almond cultivars was plotted.
