摘要
359 To characterize the molecular changes and their significance in familial esophageal carcinoma (EC) at high incidence area for esophageal cancer in Linzhou, Henan, 74 patients with EC were enrolled in this study. Of these patients, 33 were familial EC with a mean age of 56 ±9 years, and 41 were non-familial EC with a mean age of 56 ±9 years. The criterion for familial EC was that there were ≥2 EC patients in continuous two generations. All the patients were from Linzhou Centre Hospital. The difference in immunoreactivity of FHIT, P53 and its correlation with cancer progression and the EC familial genetic affectability was determined on the subjects from familial and non-familial cases. The abnormal expression of FHIT gene was significantly higher in familial EC (56%, 18/33) than in non-familial EC (27%,11/41), (p 0.05). The higher abnormal expression rates of FHIT except P53 in familial EC than in non-familial EC suggest that FHIT may play an important role in the EC familial hereditary susceptibility, and P53 may be an important synergistic agent in the process.
