Phase-interrogated surface plasmon resonance sensor based on laser feedback interferometry
Optics and Lasers in Engineering(2021)
Abstract
•The Phase-interrogated surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor performance based on the Laser feedback interferometer (LFI) technique.•The performance of the LFI SPR has compared to the conventional Mach-Zehnder Interferometer (MZI) technique in terms of sensitivity, resolution, drift, and repeatability using glycerin solution as the analyte.•The experiment data shows that the sensor's sensitivity is high for small Glycerin-Water concentrations. Repeatability and any change in drift can affect the performance of the SPR phase sensor.•The sensitivity of the LFI SPR phase sensor is high as it can measure Glycerin concentration as low as 0.05 %.
