Surgical outcomes of breast reconstruction with exclusive lipofilling after mastectomy and radiotherapy: clinical retrospective study

Background: Breast reconstruction is a very important aspect of care for patients with breast cancer. There has recently been increasing interest in the use of autologous fat transfer (AFT) in breast reconstruction; however, the use of AFT exclusively to reconstruct breasts is still a very nascent procedure with limited data to assess its safety and efficacy. Our study is one of the first large studies of patients who have undergone breast reconstruction using AFT exclusively.
