Abstract
•A 3D-printed micro-fluidized bed was used to study fungal pellet fluidization.•Liquid-solid and gas-liquid-solid fluidization systems were characterized.•Gas flow promoted pellet axial velocity but had little impact on radial velocity.•This study broadens the potential of micro-fluidized bed in bioprocessing field.
