AAR新设计的总重286000磅(130 t)车辆配装的转向架需满足M-976的要求,通过研究轴箱一系弹性悬挂、侧架柔性对角连接等技术,在TTCI的环形线进行了动力学试验,达到了M-976的要求,其中,曲线阻力系数与径向转向架相当,可以显著降低轮轨磨耗.
