《清宫扬州御档》记载:康熙帝于康熙四十四年(1705)第五次南巡,驻跸扬州,“御书‘正谊明道’匾额,令悬董仲舒祠;‘经术造士’匾额,令悬胡安国(按:应为胡安定)书院;‘贤守清风’匾额,令悬平山堂.”三块御匾,表彰了三位扬州先贤:曾任江都国国相达十年之久的西汉大儒董仲舒,成长于扬州地域、“宋初三先生”之一的大教育家胡安定,建平山堂、有“文章太守”之誉的宋代文坛领袖欧阳修.
