Abstract
郴州永兴"太平寺"不仅仅是古县城的一处古寺,而且是一处很重要的红色纪念地.它是土地革命战争时期湘南苏维埃政府、永兴县苏维埃政府和湘南工农兵代表会议的旧址.2011年1月被湖南省人民政府确定省级文物保护单位. "太平寺"建于明英宗正统年间(1436-1449年),最初只建大雄宝殿两厢庑,两层小阁楼,现残留的就是这座小阁楼.
