寨上钨金多金属矿床位于西秦岭岷-礼成矿带西部,钨矿体产出于北西向破碎带内,钨矿物以白钨矿为主,呈细脉状、团块状与石英、方解石和少量硫化物共生.钨矿床工业类型为石英脉型,根据矿物学、年代学、岩石地球化学研究,表明晚三叠世闪长玢岩脉属于分异程度稍高、氧化性中等的富钨的S型花岗岩,其为钨的矿化提供了成矿流体和物质来源.白钨矿为岩浆热液成因,形成于含氟的中温、弱碱性、氧化环境,其形成时代(222Ma前后)和岩脉活动时代相当,也与区域性岩浆作用十分吻合,寨上钨矿与闪长玢岩脉具有紧密的时空、成因联系,为岩浆热液矿床.
