通过查阅和整理文献,溯源湖湘中药历史沿革,总结刘老对湖湘中药文化的传承发展观:中药的传承有别于中医的传承,更有必要研究探讨其创新发展;传承者应医药兼通,医药逐步分业致许多研究成果难以与中医理论和临床应用对接;中药学术经验包括特色技术主体内容中较为普遍、实用与推广价值的东西,值得传承;传承更重要的是传递一种敬业奉献精神,传承一种文化理念和中医学思维.
