糖尿病是一种常见多病因的代谢疾病,是由于胰岛素绝对或相对不足而引起的以慢性高血糖为特征,常伴有脂肪、蛋白质等代谢紊乱.临床表现常被描述为“三多一少”,即多尿、多饮、多食和体重减轻.血糖高可引起急性严重代谢紊乱(指酮症酸中毒和高血糖高渗状态)、感染性并发症及慢性并发症,可遍及心脑、神经、血管、眼、肾等重要器官,严重则危及生命.
