木荷(Schima superba Gardn.etChamp.)为山茶科常绿乔木,是一种生长中速的用材树种.其材质好,叶片革质,树冠浓密,干皮粗厚,根系发达,能隔离树冠火,也是优良防火和水土保持树种.木荷与马尾松混交,对控制松毛虫的蔓延有一定作用.我地海拔1 200 m以上的山谷、山坡、山脊地带均有其分布,常与马尾松、槠、栎类、枫香等混生.现将木荷优质苗培育技术介绍如下:
