对大新珍珠鸭中心产区及分布、产区自然生态条件、品种来源及发展、体型外貌、体尺和体重、生产性能、饲养管理、品种保护及研究利用现状等进行了总结,认为大新珍珠鸭具有品种特征明显,肉质优良、产蛋性能较好、适应性强等特点,对南方水稻种植区环境具有很好的适应性,是产区群众产业脱贫的重要资源,应加强资源保护和进行适度开发利用.
