2013年8月-2014年8月,对河南连康山国家级自然保护区的鱼类资源进行了调查.采集到鱼类物种4目9科20属24种,其中,似7775 (Belligobio mummifer)、大鳍鱊(Acheilognathus macropterus)、克氏光唇鱼(Acrosso-cheilus kreyenbergii)、盎堂拟鲿(Pseudobagrus ondon)和子陵吻虾虎鱼(Rhinogobius giurinus)为信阳地区淡水溪流鱼类新记录种.从区系组成来看,连康山保护区的鱼类包括了中国平原、北方平原、南方平原、北方山地及新近纪区系复合体的种类,呈现古北界和东洋界相过渡的特点.
