重庆市地处长江上游,渔业资源十分丰富,重庆市目前可利用养殖水面达700多万亩,其中池塘79.6万亩,水库42.9万亩,江河水面220多万亩.特别是三峡水库蓄水到175m后,形成了总库容量为3亿m3、面积约为137万亩的三峡库区,宜渔水面大幅增加.随着时代的发展,渔业生产已从原来的数量效益型向质量效益型、环境友好型转变.
