余茭4号是从浙茭2号优良变异单株中筛选出来的双季茭白新品种.该品种株型高大紧凑,分蘖力强,孕茭性好,茭型大,品质优,商品性好,抗病虫性强,产量高,秋茭晚熟,2012年12月通过浙江省非主要农作物品种认定.余茭4号秋茭单个壳茭重136.7 g,净茭重90.8 g,667 m2产量1324.8 kg;夏茭单个壳茭重118.1 g,净茭重70.4 g,667 m2产量2704.3 kg.总结了余茭4号栽培要点及繁种技术.
