Role of Early Extubation in Decreasing Morbidity and Mortality in Liver Transplantation

•The relevance of this article lies in determining the influence of the timing of extubation on morbidity and mortality after liver transplant.•It is important to identify those processes in which early extubation is beneficial and those in which it is not.•This observational study analyzes the possible complications in both groups, and it appears that early extubation in liver transplant is a safe and cost-effective process, which decreases both morbidity and mortality in patients undergoing liver transplant.
