穹库尔铁矿位于阿吾拉勒晚古生代裂谷系、准噶尔板块与塔里木板块缝合带(那拉提—红柳河缝合带)北侧. 通过对穹库尔铁矿床地质特征、矿床特征以及与松湖铁矿对比,初步确定穹库尔铁矿的矿床成因及找矿方向,并就现有工作量对资源量进行初步估算.
