竞争催生机载相控阵雷达 冷战时期,出于复杂电磁条件下超视距空战的需要,苏联和西方国家在远程探测领域展开了激烈竞争. 20世纪60年代末,随着米格-25"狐蝠"配装的RP-25"龙卷风"雷达出现,苏联在机载探测领域取得了领先地位.20世纪70年代,随着美国F-14A换装AN/APG-71雷达以及F-15A配装APG-63雷达,米格-25在此方面的优势消失殆尽.
