Susceptibility Weighted Imaging for evaluation of musculoskeletal lesions

•The detection and characterization of calcium and blood products at MSK has been classically a challenging topic for conventional MRI sequences.•SWI enhances the detection and differentiation between diamagnetic and paramagnetic substances such as calcium and blood.•Joint diseases, bone and soft tissue lesions may benefit for the use of SWI.
