Seasonality of energy and water fluxes in a tropical moist forest in Vietnam

•Water and energy fluxes in a seasonal tropical forest in Vietnam were investigated.•Solar radiation rose, net radiation decreased in a dry season.•Evapotranspiration in a dry season made up 78% of the value in a wet season.•The canopy conductance has the great seasonal variation.•The forest was mainly decoupled from the atmosphere, except for the hottest months.
