Abstract
•Impact of Cu on Zn3N2 thin films by RF sputtering is reported.•The effects of Cu:Zn3N2 on optical and electrical properties are studied.•Cu:Zn3N2 is a p-type semiconductor with optical band gap (1.80–1.61 eV).•High absorbance and hole mobility are achieved.
