Abstract
•N-doped porous carbon supported ZnS (ZnS/NPC) were prepared by pyrolysis of protein-Zn(II) networks.•ZnS/NPC catalyst were obtained without introduction of extra templates and additional acid/base post-treatment.•ZnS/NPC–2 possesses plenty of Lewis acid/base sites and high photothermally catalytic performance for CO2 conversion.
