Abstract
•About 10% of patients with kidney failure may experience seizures.•One third of patients with uremic encephalopathy may present with seizures.•In case of provoked seizures in CKD patient, treat the cause of the seizure first.•For CKD patients presenting with encephalopathy have a low threshold to obtain EEG to rule out non-convulsive status.•Some AEDs may require dose adjustment in CKD patients and supplementation post dialysis.
