Impact of the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic on orthodontic patients and their attitude to orthodontic treatment

•Orthodontic patients are willing to continue treatment during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic.•Fear of contracting the virus during an appointment was an immediate concern.•Missed appointments and increased treatment time were long-term concerns.•A high acceptance rate for precautionary measures was observed.•Age, sex, and treatment duration were correlated with willingness to continue treatment.
