Abstract
This paper proposes an innovative method to recover the sonar cross section of the target using the pole feature. Using the matrix pencil method to extract the pole feature from the simulated transient echo of an underwater spherical target, and the sonar cross section is recovered through the target pole and the corresponding residue information. It contributes a significant role in the research of underwater target detection.
