The proteostatic network chaperome is downregulated in F508del homozygote cystic fibrosis

•Nasal curettage of cystic fibrosis and healthy volunteers reveals significant DEGs between these groups.•Heterogeneity appears greater among CF subjects than healthy volunteers.•Up and downregulated DEGs were enriched for innate immune and ciliary/microtubule processes.•Chaperome gene module is negatively enriched among DEGs.
