Bioengineered ethosomes encapsulating AgNPs and Tasar silk sericin proteins for non melanoma skin carcinoma (NMSC) as an alternative therapeutics

•Novel, cost effective, alternative approach for targeted delivery of drugs for NMSC.•AgNPs synthesized from petals of C. maxima and sericin from A. mylitta cocoons.•Chitosan formulations mediates the delivery of AgNPs and sericin through Ethosomes.•Presence of apoptotic bodies confirmed though FACS and SEM confirm our hypothesis.•In vivo studies revealed non-immunogenic properties of our prepared formulations.
