Design of Rotman Lens for Far-field Wireless Power Transfer at Ka-band
2020 IEEE Wireless Power Transfer Conference (WPTC)(2020)
Abstract
This paper presents a Rotman lens as a retrodirective beamforming system applicable to far-field wire- less power transfer at millimeter-wave frequencies (Ka-Band). In particular, the proposed Rotman lens is designed to operate at 28-38 GHz. The designed Rotman lens consists of seven-input and eight-output ports that feed a linear Vivaldi array and its performance is validated via numerical simulation. The results demonstrate the beamforming capability of the Rotman lens over a scan range of ±30°.
