Background and Aims: HDL from patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) have impaired anti-inflammatory activities. Most ex vivo studies on HDL anti-inflammatory function are performed with HDL derived from overnight fasted participants. We determined whether the anti-inflammatory function of HDL from T2D patients is affected by food intake.
