Abstract
Inonotus obliquus is a rare medicinal fungus and has been used as a traditional remedy to cure various diseases. L obliquus were collected, identified and DNA extraction was performed for PCR with primers targeting the ITS2 rDNA region. The results showed that most strains had close genetic relationship. The nucleotide sequences of ITS2 region of all strains were different in nucleotide sequences and length variation. The length of ITS2 gene regions of the 22 L obliquus varied from 363 bp to 414 bp. The GC content ranged from 44.6% to 48.9%. They were clustered into three major groups based on ITS2. Our results demonstrated that L obliquus is abundant in resources, and there are great differences among different species. L obliquus from China, Russia, Finland and Korea have a close relationship. L obliquus from Japan Inonotus show polymorphism of resources, so it is necessary to choose when reusing resources. ITS2 can be used as an efficient and powerful marker in the identification and phylogenetic study of L obliquus species. The ITS2 provides a scientific basis forLobliquus and lays a foundation for further utilization of L obliquus resources.
