Rachipagus parasitic twins: A case series and review of literature

•The incidence of rachipagus twins is increasing compared to past decades.•Folic acid deficiency may be the cause considering higher incidence in countries where neural tube defects are prevalent.•Timing of surgery depends on variety of factors including risk of anesthesia, associated anomalies, infection as well as psychosocial issues.•Long term followup should be conducted by neurosurgeons as most complications are related to the associated neural tube defect.
