Abstract
The isolated bidirectional DC-DC converter (IBDC) is vital for many power electronic applications, whose analysis and design prefer comprehensive, accurate and fast model under the whole operation area. Based on an original comprehensive time-domain IBDC model, this paper proposes an improved model considering dead-time effect. With the description of original model and dead-time effect analysis, this model can calculate the analytical expressions of waveforms in the whole time including dead time. The simulation and experimental results prove that the model proposed in this paper can improve accuracy of model especially when dead-time effect is evident, and keep speed advantage compared with conventional simulation software. Therefore, this model is appropriate for the analysis and design of practical IBDC equipment.
