Abstract
Since high temperature superconductor (HTS) coil is extremely sensitive to both current and magnetic field, the operating characteristics of it have a great influence on the performance of the HTS electrical device. Therefore, based on the H-formulation and finite element method (FEM), the variation of the magnetic field distribution and AC loss of the superconducting coil with the operating current is researched in this paper.
