摘要
The objective of current analysis is to examine Maxwell fluid flow generated by elongating cylindrical surface. Heat transfer occurring due to melting of the surface is formulated. Boundary layer approximation is employed during mathematical derivation. By incorporating appropriate transformations arising partial differential system collapses into a coupled non-linear system which has been treated by an analytical procedure based on homotopic technique. Values of the so-called auxiliary parameter are found by computing ℏ−curves. The characteristics of various productive parameters are graphically analyzed and discussed. Moreover the tangible quantities like local Nusselt number and skin friction coefficient evaluated numerically and examined. For validity of current outcomes, a comparison of results for skin friction coefficient is made with some previous investigations, which is found convincing. A marked formation in thermal boundary layer is seen for increasing values of melting parameter Me.
