Multimodal Magnetic Metal-Organic Framework Nanoparticles for Bioimaging and Gene Knockdown

Nanoparticles are convenient instruments for different biomedical applications. Using hybrid nanomaterials with multimodal features allow designing advanced agents for targeted drug delivery and bioimaging. Here we constructed magnetic metal-organic framework nanoparticles optimized to transport small oligonucleotides and act as perspective nanoagents for fluorescent bioimaging and MRI-contrasting. Further, the achieved combination of the optical features with high adsorption capacity is promising for construction of the novel types of theranostic systems.
