Abstract
The integration of Phase Change Materials (PCMs) in buildings as an energy efficient material has gained interest in construction industry. This review mainly discusses the effect of incorporation of PCM on the thermal and mechanical properties of geopolymer mortar. The study also reviews the properties of PCM when incorporated into mortar based on different binders such as cement, lime and gypsum. Based on the reviewed literature, it is evident that integration of PCM in geopolymer materials is economical and environment-friendly; contributing to better mechanical and thermal properties than PCM inte-grated conventional mortar.(c) 2021 Elsevier Ltd.
