Structural Rearrangements And Deletions Of Y Chromosome In A Male Infertile Group

Some infertil men with azoospermia or severe-oligospermia have small deletions in regions of the Y chromosome, Genes on the long arms of Y (Yq), particularly within interval 6, are believed to play a critical role in human spermatogenesis. The authors describe the prevalence of Y chromosome aberrations and microdeletions among infertile patients determined by cytogenetic analysis, FISH and PCR.
