Systematic Review of Scientific and Non-conventional Literature regarding the Information Technology Projects Portfolio in Higher Education Institutions

This paper describes the initial research and collecting scientific information and non-conventional literature, through a systematic literature review (SLR), about how a framework of corporate governance of the IT can be initially adopted by universities with a non-explicit IT governance. We want to know if implementing the portfolio of IT project is a good initial practice. There are important scientific and unconventional contributions in this field. They will form the basis for the creation of an initial model of implementation of the portfolio of IT projects, becoming a benchmark to generate a culture of IT governance for universities. This work presents current data collected by instruments generated according to the methodology of systematic literature review, allowing to observe relevant publications for the topic of study in scientific databases, repositories of universities and international associations of prestige. All the research carried out is starting from the year 2000. The results obtained by the application of the SLR methodology, justify and validate the contribution of the present and future research. It shows statistically the growth of the interest in the subject in the scientific community. It can therefore be concluded that it is possible to investigate the issue. The document finally describes future work to develop.
