摘要
The hydrographic basin is the basic unit for the management of water resources, which provides subsidies for environmental planning. The objective of this work was to characterize the morphometry of the Santa Teresinha River microbasin. The geometric characteristics, relief and drainage were analyzed using Alos image (Palsar sensor) and QGIS software. The microbasin has an area of 179.64 km(2), a perimeter of 78.31 km, an elongated form, low susceptibility to floods, altitudes between 190 and 241 m, predominance of relief features wavy corrugated smooth, rectilinear drainage network with 3rd order dendritic pattern, low drainage densities, hydrographic and of springs, concentration time of 18 hours and 51 minutes, low susceptibility to water erosions and propensities to soil flooding. Thus, the use of computational tools allows the generation of geomorphological information, in a timely manner and low financial cost, to assist in the planning and management of water resources, providing subsidies for the formation of public policies.
