摘要
In this paper we describe the effects that physical activity has on academic performance in school-aged children from a neuroscience perspective. We also describe as physical activity improves the regulation of neurogenesis and angiogenesis through neurotropic factors affecting specific regions and structures of brain, which in turn improves health and cognitive performance in children. Considering these positive outcomes, we strongly recommend that stake holders generate sustainable public policies providing reliable access to physical activity during and after the school day for children in school age.
